Day 6 - Local Food

I don't know if buying a car is still worth a trip to Steinbach, but I do know that the eggs are worth it. (That said, I only have to go to the organic grocery store at the end of my street to pick up a carton.)

If you have never had a Vita egg, you don't know what you're missing. The vivid orange-yellow colour of the yolk alone has been known to make people (ok, me) gasp in surprise as they break through the white of their perfectly poached Vita.


And, they taste just as good as they look. I did a little taste with one Vita egg and one supermarket free-run egg (the brown one in the picture). Honestly , the supermarket egg was fine, but the Vita egg was so much yummier. Like, lick-the-plate yummy.
